Design on Stage @ Belgravia Interior Boutique0 0 15 September 2013
At SoFarSoNear we celebrated the opening of our new London showroom, with a series of events during the London Design Festival.
These included a RIBA approved CPD presentation by Jacuzzi® to architects – taking advantage of the showroom’s theatre style layout for seminars at lunch time and early evening. Jacuzzi® brought in three of their products for the event; Frame, Muse and the Daniel Libeskind designed Flow.
We hosted a drinks party for members of the Mayfair & St. James’s Association and the Belgravia Residents Association. SoFarSoNear are members of both of these groups which represent local businesses and residents focusing on local issues and networking. Our guests included a mix of corporate clients and interior designers who enjoyed looking at the information on our products and our partners, while celebrating the showroom opening with a glass of Prosecco and Tuscan culinary delights.
SoFarSoNear are a partner of the Society of British Interior Designers (SBID) and had an open day for members to visit the showroom. The showroom is an ideal space to talk, think and relax, whilst admiring our latest fabric and carpet collections, along with furniture and finishes from our partners.
During this time we also showcased the new textile design Spartito, an addition to our Cuprum range. The distinctive Spartito pattern, in copper thread, is based on music written by Daniele Lombardi and designed for SoFarSoNear by R+S architects.
This month saw the official opening of the refurbished Hotel Baglioni in Milan, attended by many renowned architects and designers. Here the Spartito fabric has been used on acoustic panels in the restaurant and bar areas.
