When we first saw the Kundan Silk carpets of Zollanvari, we’ve immediately associated the astonishing weaving and dying to fashion. That’s how the design concept came about. The beauty of some very iconic fabrics were the ideal inspiration for the ‘Couture Collection’ of Kundan Silk Carpets. The collection features different patterns: _Bouclé, inspired by the iconic jackets of fashion myth Coco Chanel _Tweed, sourced from the traditional British cloths but adding new shades of colour _Tartan, an evergreen pattern from Scotland here proposed with a fancy palette of colours The Couture Collection was designed for internationally reknown brand Zollanvari in 2014. It was awarded in 2014 as Best Modern Design Deluxe at Domotex Hannover and as winner at the Innovation Interior Awards...

A brand repositioning is perhaps the most difficult design strategy project. The difficulty is even greater if the brand works in the communication field. You can not be communicator without communicating. This was the challenge. Through the repositioning, the brand has consolidated its heritage and has innovated those brand values that had to be aligned to a proper language. We have developed a new strategic brand positioning, a new corporate and new communication tools. The job was then extended to the restyling of the headquarter, whose details you may appreciate under the Interior & Styling chapter.

Estel is a leading historical brand of Italian Design. In the first decade of 2000, the Group did buy the Simon Gavina brand, who above others featured designs from Carlo Scarpa and art pieces from Man Ray and Marcel Duchamp. The showroom in the Brera district was the ideal lieu to preview the collection of the amazing tables designed by Carlo Scarpa. SoFarSoNear was asked to design a striped wallpaper in different tones of grey that was the perfect backdrop for the collection. The best way to express it was to create a high design collection of fabrics, especially suited for the Hospitality, at a small price.Conceived and weaved in Italy, using only flame retardant yarns from Trevira, the collection is an insight on the design iconography of four different continents. METAL is the new trend in carpets and textiles. Recent collections have highlighted the phenomenon in contemporary design some even featuring larger pieces of metal incorporated into the pattern.
