Bauhaus, 100year Anniversary Collection

P aying tribute to this year’s 100 anniversary of Bauhaus, SoFarSoNear has designed a new collection of Trevira CS flameretardant fabrics. Suited for drapes, the collection features two patterns, reflecting the main idea of combining aesthetic with simple geometries. 'Vienna' is inspired by the pattern of Thonet chairs, so popular at the time. 'Dots' plays with the different size of small squares and their optical effect. The colour palette ranges from neutrals to trendy shades, like Coral, elected colour of the year. The production technique uses Scottish Madras looms. Innovation and tradition, in order to preserve the past with an eye to the future. [eltd_blockquote text="Aesthetic and craftmanship. Safety and comfort. Bauhaus is still at the...

Drapesfor hotels and stylish homes

C onceived and weaved in Italy, using only flame retardant yarns from Trevira, the fabrics designed for drapes feature a unique mix of design and touch and feel. The yarns chosen for the weaving are of different types. ‘Waffle’ brings an element of dimensionality to the fabrics. ‘Rugiada’ makes use of the new heat-shrinking Trevira yarn. Small water drops glide on the sheers like dew on leaves. Besides the weaved textiles, the Studio has designed a variety of patterns that are digitally printed on different textured grounds. This is just a hint for our clients, that may create their own exclusive design.  [eltd_blockquote text="Featuring a palette of whites, greys and browns, the designs fit in hotels, yachts...

Upholsteries featuring Satin & Chenille

I n recent past, flameretardant fabrics were considered low quality, featuring rather style free design and raw finishes, therefore not suitable for nice interiors. This is not true today, especially for Trevira yarns. One of the effect we have applied on SoFarSoNear textiles suited for upholsteries, is satin combined with chenille. A geometric pattern brings an element of dimensionality to the fabric. Classic patterns like stripes have a contemporary look thanks to the subtlety of colour gradations and the textural quality of the fabric.

The classic Elegance of Velvet

V elvet, with its short dense pile, giving it a distinctive soft feel, is probably the most elegant and fine fabric for decoration. Our Studio has partnered with Trevira CS weavers, in order to offer the same opulent touch and feel not compromising on quality and safety. Whether applied in homes or hotels, whether weaved or printed, the outcome is under your eyes. The soft drape and shimmering surface is equal to cotton or viscose, but it does not burn in case of fire.

Globetrotter,

C heap&Chic is a mood. Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean poor. Chic is not necessarily expensive. The best way to express it was to create a high design collection of fabrics, especially suited for the Hospitality, at a small price.Conceived and weaved in Italy, using only flame retardant yarns from Trevira, the collection is an insight on the design iconography of four different continents. That’s where the name comes, Globetrotter. Four designs for a total of nineteen fabrics, featuring a palette of natural colors with a hint of more audacious shades, like acid green, Ferrari red and luscious purple. Our voyage pays homage to Italy with ‘Rinascimento’, a modern damask. The following stop-over is Japan, where the antique families used...
