International Prestige,The Army & Navy Club

In 2012 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II commemorated 60 years of reign. SoFarSoNear was appointed official partner of The Army & Navy Club, celebrating 175 years of British heritage, royalty and excellence, commemorating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. An international recognition that was achieved thanks to our commitment to innovation and creativity.

The Club was founded in august 1837 as a response to the popularity of other service clubs in the area. Originally it was to be called the Army Club but the Duke of Wellington, Commander in Chief who became the Club’s first patron, insisted that membership should also be offered to officers of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines. For the past 175 years, the Army & Navy Club (or ‘The Rag’ as it is affectionately known) has provided a base for its members – men and women who hold or have held a commission in the British or Commonwealth Armed Forces – in which they can socialise and relax. Delivering outstanding service in elegant surroundings for almost two centuries.

SoFarSoNear are honoured to be celebrating The Rag's 175th Anniversary in the same year that Patron, Her Majesty The Queen, marks the 60th year if her reign - her Diamond Jubilee.
